This Gibson Earl Scruggs Flint Hill Special was built in 2006 and it’s in excellent structural and cosmetic condition. The maple neck and resonator have strong figure. It has a double-cut peghead bound with mother-of-pearl binding, the classic Hearts and Flowers fretboard inlay and an engraved “Flint Hill Special” pearl truss rod cover. All of the metal is gold-plated including the Waverly tuners, which have pearl buttons. The flange, tone ring, tension hoop, armrest and tailpiece are all engraved and the resonator thumbscrews have mother-of-pearl insets. Includes the original Gibson hard case.
