Details
This is essentially an HD-40 with Engelmann spruce top, pyramid-tipped belly bridge, and special Crosby, Stills & Nash neck inlays. (Gerry Tolman was the manager of CSN for many years and the guitar was commissioned by them as a tribute after Tolman's tragic death in a car accident in 2005. This is #19 in the special edition.)
This example shows minor playing wear, just a few scuffs and small dings to the top, plus a small spot of squiggles to the lacquer on the back. Very minor wear to lower frets, no sign of any changes or repairs. Thanks to forward-shifted scalloped top bracing, this has that classic Martin rosewood Dreadnought sound, with a big warm tone and lots of headroom. Comes with the original hardshell case.
