Details
This dozen years-old D2H doesn't show many signs of being played, but that's because it's fresh from having the lower half of its frets replaced by the Gryphon repair crew. Yep, it had been played a lot, but the owner was careful with it so except for some pick scuffs to the pickguard and a few impressions in the finish on the lower (treble) side, you never guess it saw much use. Thankfully it has that "broken-in" tone, however, with both volume and warmth to spare and it won't take a back seat to any D2H Traditional or Adirondack top version. The rose inlay on the headstock was done by Alex Glasser, when he was working at Gryphon (Alex now runs his own repair shop in NY).
