How often do you find a full-sized genuine Gibson electric guitar with two pickups that weighs less than 6 pounds? "Not often enough" would probably be your reply, and while the extra weight from a center block and humbucking pickups was probably a necessary thing 60 years ago, modern amplification has made those shoulder-numbing additional pounds unnecessary.
Gibson took the "Historic Vintage Original Specs" on this 1959 reissue ES-330 very seriously, right down to the fact there is no paper label, and the FON (Factory Order Number) stamped on the inside of the back serves as the serial number. Aged nickel parts and low-sheen finish with proper coloring completes the correct look, and Gibson's twin P-90s pickups deliver the sound. And speaking of sound, another benefit of this model missing the internal center block (found on the ES-335 models) is that this ES-330 has a credible acoustic tone and enough volume to make practicing without plugging in a pleasing option.
Comes with the original Gibson case, the COA and checklist are in the case pocket.
