Nicely figured Hawaiian koa, and while the light fret wear tells us this Hummingbird has been played a bit, there was no pick-scraping or fingernail-dragging as the top and pickguard could almost pass for new. And the sound? Typical H-bird clarity and the classic short-scale Gibson "whomp" when playing rhythm, but the koa adds some depth to the bass (compared to similar models with the usual mahogany body).
