Details
This barely-used OME Sweetgrass was a special order, by a banjo picker devoted to archtop tone rings (this instrument is from an estate so we can't get any more info on the order). Doesn't look like it saw much use, and it's super clean throughout. As the photos show, the tone ring is a no-holes archtop, like Gibson's first archtop tone rings introduced in 1927. The tone is crisp and even, a banjo you don't have to force to get plenty of volume and projection. Note that there are spikes installed for "capoing" the 5th string at the 7th and 9th frets.
