Martin has dropped all the Vintage Series models since this 12-fret 000 was made, but most of those models reappeared either as "re-imagined" Standard Series and/or were given a boost with Modern Deluxe Series appointments. Alas, the 000-28VS was somehow left behind and wasn't revived at all, and what a shame, for now Martin has no 12-fret rosewood 000 models, period. With its wide neck, wider string spacing, and 12-fret tone (from the bridge being closer to the center of the soundboard), this guitar sounds more like a 12-fret D-28, but with a shape that sits more comfortably in your lap. Top bracing is scalloped and it has all the old-time specs of the Vintage Series. This just hasn't been played much, and the case is equally near-perfect.
