This 2016 Gibson Lucille is modeled after B.B. King's iconic guitar, and it delivers all the class and character you'd expect from a guitar bearing his name. Finished in a sleek, high-gloss black, this semi-hollow body stands out for its elegance and its unique construction, the most notable being the absence of f-holes, which helps reduce feedback at higher volumes. Built with a laminated maple top, back, and sides, the Lucille has a warm, articulate tone that’s well-suited for blues, jazz, and soul. It features a solid maple center block and a rounded "C" neck profile that feels smooth and substantial in the hand. The Richlite fingerboard is adorned with mother-of-pearl block inlays and multi-ply binding, adding to the guitar’s upscale look. This model comes equipped with a pair of Gibson 490R/490T humbuckers, a TP-6 fine-tuning tailpiece, and the Varitone circuit for expanded tonal versatility.
