Details
Gibson has always had a way with maple, and this J-45 Ltd proves the Montana crew got it right once again. Thanks to the J-45's typical short scale this is a remarkably easy slope-shoulder Dreadnought to play, but the volume is there and it can easily deliver that mid-range "whomp" that has made the J-45 a favorite with rhythm players since the '50s. Yet there's more treble clarity and a bright shimmer you don't hear in the mahogany versions. And of course you get another kind of shimmer when the light hits the figured maple back and sides....
This is #1 of a limited run of 75, another plus.
