Details
This Bob Thompson OMC was made in 2019 and it’s in excellent structural and cosmetic condition with very light fret wear. At first glance, this looks like a standard OM style guitar but when you check inside, it’s a different story. Along with being a skilled luthier, Bob Thompson is respected in the archery community for his Zipper recurve bows and their status tells us this guy knows a lot about wood and how to put it to use when there is tension involved. Some of the techniques he uses on his bows have made into this guitar. The most noticeable is the light top bracing, which laminated in a similar fashion to his bows and there are other tweaks you don't notice until you look inside the soundhole. This OMC is highly playable, with a nicely balanced tone and plenty of volume. The top is Adiardack spruce and the back and sides are Indian rosewood. We hope you'll swing by our shop and give this one a try.
