This Gibson 1959 ES-335 Reissue was made in 2021 and has barely been played which is a shame because it sounds great and needs to spend more time out of its case. This beauty has the slightly chunky late-1950s neck profile that many players crave. It’s fitted with a pair of Custom Shop Custombucker pickups, which are made with Alnico III magnets. Like the PAF humbuckers Gibson was making in 1959, these pickups are unpotted, which gives a distinctly vintage character to their tone. The finish features Gibson’s VOS treatment, a thinner finish that knocks off the slick shine and gives the guitar a subtler, slightly more worn look without going full relic. Includes the original hardshell case and all the case candy it had when new, including the COA.
