The HF-3L is the long-neck version of Gryphon's best-selling Kamaka model, the HF-3 Tenor Ukulele. The scale length on this model is 2 inches longer than the standard tenor (19” vs. 17”) and the extra string tension produces more volume and the longer neck gives you the ability to play much higher on the neck. The longer neck, and longer string scale, makes these long neck tenors the ideal "crossover" uke for guitar players as the fret spacing is closer to that of a guitar. The longer scale also allows you to experiment with different tunings because it responds well to lower tunings. This all-koa version has a sweet, mellow tone with impressive sustain. It’s dated Feb. 04 2020 on the neck block but it doesn't look like this long-neck tenor saw much use. Includes a Kamka-branded hardshell case.
