Details
The combination of V-class top bracing and Hawaiian koa back and sides gives this Grand Auditorium Taylor lots of harmonic chime-like tone and incredible sustain. With tastefully narrow abalone top bordering and a subtle abalone vine fingerboard pattern, this is a guitar that doesn't scream "Look at ME!" but instead invites a closer look when you're taking a break from playing it. And the ES2 pickup system of course means it doubles as an acoustic-electric .
This has been played, but very carefully. The "silent satin" finish is a bit more glossy where a pickguard would be if it had one, fret wear is very very light. An impressive barely-used example of the latest generation of what Taylor is up to under the innovative Andy Powers.
