Details
Iris is a fairly new guitar company based in Burlington, Vermont. They specialize in models inspired by the great guitars made in the 1930s and 1940s but with their own twist. This DF is named for Iris co-founder Dale Fairbanks and it’s a great sounding slope-shouldered dreadnought that has strong 1940s J-45 vibes. It has an Adirondack spruce top, an optional upgrade, and mahogany back and sides, a small straight bridge and scalloped braces. It has a 25” scale length and 1 ¾” nut width. This DF has a satin finish. It has a warm but focused tone with a nice balance of bass to treble. This example was made in 2022 and it’s in almost perfect, unplayed condition. Other upgrades include the sunburst top and ivoroid binding. Includes a hardshell case.
