While many laud John Mayer for his distinctive melodic guitar work and songwriting ability one may argue that his greatest contribution to the guitar playing community is his singular ability to make pink cool. Dubbed “Roxy Pink”, the vibrant finish on this 2022 Silver Sky is an audacious rejection of Rock and Roll orthodoxy and is perfect for players looking for a truly fresh take on the tried-and-true Strat style guitar.
This particular Silver Sky comes with a beautiful rosewood fingerboard with a comfortable profile that PRS describes as being similar to the original 635JM neck shape but being "subtly modified in the shoulders to feel more “rounded”. This modified profile pairs excellently with the vintage inspired 7.25" radius offering the curvature of an old-time fingerboard with a vintage-meets-moderns feel of the maple neck.Other features of note include: a set of PRS's 635JM single coil pickups, locking tuners, and a steel tremolo with Gen III knife-edge screws.
Overall, this instrument is in excellent cosmetic condition with the only notable blemishes being some wear on the pickguard. Otherwise, the guitar is free from any unsightly dings or scratches and all the pickups, hardware and frets are in perfect working order.
