Details
Paul McGill is widely regarded as one of the premier builders of modern nylon-string guitars, and the Super Ace is one of his flagship designs. It blends traditional classical guitar construction with modern appointments, resulting in an instrument that’s equally comfortable on stage as it is in the practice room.
This example features a spruce top paired with maple back and sides, giving it a clear, full voice with excellent projection and a bit more punch than many traditional nylon-string guitars. The 650mm scale length and comfortable 1 7/8” nut width makes it familiar to classical players while remaining approachable for steel-string players looking to branch out. When plugged in, McGill’s proprietary pickup system delivers a natural, articulate sound, with the normal side-mounted controls being replaced by discreet soundhole-mounted controls, making room for a sound port for self-monitoring.
This guitar is in very good condition with only extremely light signs of wear on the top. Whether you’re performing, recording, or looking for a high-quality nylon-string that can cover everything from classical to jazz, Latin, or fingerstyle, this Super Ace is a fantastic choice. It includes a hardshell case.
