Details
The Radio Standard Series is Beard’s latest line of guitars. These well-crafted instruments blend the construction techniques of the classic resophonic guitars of the 1930s with a more contemporary look. These guitars are cosmetically simpler than Beard’s other instruments, and while they don’t have gloss finishes or binding, there is no skimping on the build quality. The Radio-R has a slightly smaller body constructed from Finnish birch veneer. The square neck is made of solid maple fitted with an ebony fretboard with flush frets. The sonic engine of this guitar is a handspun Beard Legend Cone paired with a Beard #14 spider. It is an open bodied instrument, that is no soundwell, which produces a lighter, mellower tone. The Radio-R comes standard with a black tailpiece, black Radio coverplate and black Gotoh tuning machines. Includes a hardshell case.
