This Martin Style 51 baritone ukulele was made around 1964, give or take a year. Martin didn’t use serial numbers for their ukuleles in this period so there's no way to be certain about the year it was built. Martin didn't offer a baritone ukulele model until 1960 and this model has faux tortoiseshell binding, so it was made before 1966 when the binding was switched to black Boltaron. This ukulele is in fine structural condition and there are no cracks in the top, back or sides. There are a few minor scuffs here and there, and there is a deep scratch in the top near the waist on the treble side.

We sell a lot of baritone ukes from Ohana and Kamaka but for reasons that are obscure to us, this is the one size Martin has not reissued. That’s a shame because the Style 51 is one of the best sounding baris ever made. Includes a chipboard case.
