Details
The Collings D1 with Adirondack top has a long-standing reputation in Dreadnought world, as it delivers such clarity and tonal balance. Of course it can be used for a wide variety of playing styles but bluegrass flat pickers, always a difficult crowd to please, were the first to demand, and embrace, this model. The top appears almost unnaturally white but don't worry, with time and a little UV exposure it will darken a bit to the light golden hue we associate with Adirondack guitar tops. This example also has some nice figure to the mahogany back as well.
