The 14-fret 00-28 is a model that was never part of Martin’s standard line, and after playing this recently introduced guitar, all we can do is ask, Why not? This guitar has the same appointments as its larger sibling, the 000-28, which include solid Indian rosewood back and sides, solid Sitka spruce top, ebony fretboard, herringbone purfling and pre-war style top braces. The smaller body makes the 00-28 a comfortable guitar to play but it puts out a fuller, richer tone than you might expect from a guitar of its size. Includes a hardshell case.
