Details
Martin introduced the CEO-7 in 2014 as limited edition but it proved to be so popular they added it to the standard line. It has a body shape that recalls the small-bodied guitars that were built in Kalamazoo in the late 1930s, but adds some distinctly Martin touches like the squared off headstock, a teardrop-shaped pickguard. Thanks to the Adirondack spruce top and light, scalloped top bracing, this is a very lively 00-size guitar and delivers a bigger sound than its size would suggest. Playability is enhanced by the shorter 24.9" scale and modified V neck (which is rounded enough that most players don't notice the V). This guitar has plenty of treble cutting power, and the type of midrange growl that has made this body shape so popular with acoustic blues fingerpickers.
