Details
Pisgah’s Laydie is their homage to Vega's Whyte Laydie, one the most revered open-back banjos , perhaps thanks to the unforgettable model name. It features the famous scalloped tone ring, which is made by hand and based on the original specifications. The particular banjo has a 11- inch diameter shell which has a nice balance of clarity and sweetness of tone. Like its ancestor it has an unstained, “Whyte” maple neck (blond maple finishes didn't become popular until years later). Other features include a persimmon fretboard with a frailing scoop, aged brass hardware, and a star inlay on the headstock. The Pisgah Laydie presents amazing volume, punchiness, and great responsiveness for playability. Includes a padded gig bag.
