Details
This elegant banjo is Rickard’s tribute to Vega’s Whyte Laydie, one the most revered open-back banjos. It features the famous scalloped tone ring, which is made in Rickard’s workshop and is based on the original specifications. The particular banjo has a 11- inch diameter shell which has a nice balance of clarity and sweetness of tone. Like its ancestor it has an unstained, “Whyte” maple neck (blond maple finishes didn't become popular until years later). Other features include an ebony fretboard with a frailing scoop, aged brass hardware, and a star inlay on the headstock. The Rickard Whyte Laydie presents amazing volume, punchiness, and great responsiveness for playability. Includes a hardshell case
