As one of the flagship models in the Taylor line, the 314ce is a superb "meat and potatoes" type guitar (or tofu and noodles if you prefer) that is a phenomenal guitar for stage work or living room use. 300 series Taylor guitars are aesthetically stripped down and offer the essentials for great sound (all solid wood construction, superior fret work, easy plug and play electronics, namely). The 314ce is an example of Taylor's "grand auditiorium" body design which has proven year after year to be their best selling model. The depth of the guitar is equal to a dreadnought, but the waist and bouts are pinched in tighter which makes for a very comfortable guitar.
