We have been impressed with the way the Academy Series delivers Taylor’s exemplary playability and well-balanced tone at a price that is friendly to your budget. For 2022 that have expanded the line with the 22e and the 20e, which feature a solid walnut top paired with layered walnut back and sides. These guitars have a warmer tone than their spruce topped siblings and we think they look great, as well. The slender neck design and built-in armrest, along with the slightly shorter scale that comes with Academy guitars make these an excellent choice for beginners or advanced players looking for an easy to play instrument.. This model comes with Taylor’s ES-B acoustic pickup, which provides a faithful plugged-in sound along with easy tuning thanks to the included digital tuner.
