Many of you will remember Tim Frick from his time in our repair shop, where he specialized in the most delicate and complex jobs. Every now and then we were lucky enough to offer one of the guitars he built. Tim has since moved to Portland, where he has been able to spend more time building and less time fixing. Tim has been building instruments since he was in high school and got into building archtop guitars after studying with Tom Ribbecke. He has been focusing on archtops since he completed his first one in 1995. Tim’s guitars are meticulously crafted, have a subtle beauty and sound amazing. Lately, he has been experimenting with ukuleles which, as you might expect, are well crafted as any uke we have ever seen.
