The Builder's Edition 324ce is crafted with Shamel ash back and sides and a mahogany top, an intriguing tone wood combination that produces a rich, responsive sound. Shamel ash, which is sometimes called Urban Ash, is responsibly sourced from Southern California from re-purposed trees that needed to be removed from municipal areas. As with most Builder’s Editions with the Grand Auditorium body shape, this 324ce includes a beveled armrest, a chamfered body edge treatment, and a reshaped cutaway that flows smoothly into the heel and incorporates a finger bevel where the cutaway meets the soundboard. Other refined touches include “silent” satin finish, which helps quiet the incidental noise against the guitar body.
