Details
This all-original 1965 ES-330 has a fantastic overall vibe and is one of the cleanest examples we’ve seen in years. The condition is excellent, and it has clearly been very well cared for throughout its life. It features a pair of original dogear P-90 pickups, which have clear and punchy mids, are slightly airy, but have that full tone that Gibson hollow-bodies are known for. The small celluloid block inlays, comfortable 1 5/8" nut width, and desirable 16th fret neck joint give the mid-‘60s ES-330’s their character. The cherry nitrocellulose finish is just the right hue and captures the era perfectly. The finish has lightly aged with subtle lacquer crazing throughout, but there is no flaking or other notable finish wear issues. The frets are on the lower side, but still have plenty of life left in them considering the guitar’s age. The only non-original item is the case, which has been replaced with a brand new arch-top TKL hardshell case.
