Details
Strats of this era are frequently considered some of Fender's best workhorse instruments. The two-post trem, micro-tilt that adjusts the neck angle, and "no-load" tone pot make this instrument a classic guitar with modern appointments fit for a lifetime of playability. The components are all original on this one, which is a testament to just how practical this era was.
The pickups are affectionately known as “Flat Poles” as they indeed have flat pole pieces. They sound great for just about any type of music you’d play on a Strat, and possibly even more after that. The bridge pickup is a hotter wind as well, giving you more kick and bite in that position.
This example from 1999 is very clean for its age and was really taken care of. The finish has sunken into the woodgrain a bit, but it is still all intact. The frets have a bit of wear in them, but still have plenty of life as well. This guitar comes with a fresh set-up and its original Fender molded plastic hardshell case.
