Details
At first glance, the 150ce Doce Doble looks like a regular 12-string guitar but when you look more closely, you’ll notice that all the courses are tuned in unison and not octaves. This gives the guitar an amazing low end roar that is almost too much fun to play.
This cutaway Dreadnought is crafted with layered sapele back and sides and a solid, torrefied Sitka spruce top, a combination that generates strong projection and a rich octave shimmer. It features C-class bracing, which has an asymmetrical and cantilevered pattern that boosts volume and sustain while taming the boomy bass that can sometimes overwhelm the trebles on Dreadnoughts. This is a cosmetically simple guitar, but it has the same playable neck of Taylor’s more expensive models. The 150ce Doce Doble is fitted with Taylor’s own ES2 electronics. Includes a well-padded gig bag.
