Details
For those who know, the Fender “plus” models were the top-of-the-line production models of the ‘90s. Fender worked with Lace Pickups, who developed a single coil pickup who that was made to eliminate the noisy 60-cycle hum that single coils were known to suffer from. The Lace Sensor was among the first noiseless single coils and quickly became the sound of the era. This Deluxe Strat Plus from 1995 happens to have to the blue/silver/red Lace Sensor set, which gives you a beefy Strat sound in the neck, and ‘70s-style single coil with punchy mids in the middle, and a hot bridge pickup that is great for overdriven leads, but still has some twang when played clean.
This one came stock with the other cutting-edge technology of the day, such as an LSR Roller Nut, TBX Tone Pot, locking tuners and saddles, and even came with a Hipshot Tremsetter (that has been removed and is in the case), which helps the tremolo reset to the exact “zero” position.
This Strat plus is in excellent condition for its age and has been meticulously cared for these last 31 years. It shows almost no playwear on the body at all, save a few extremely light surface dings that can barely be seen with naked eye. The frets also have a ton of life in them. It is truly a great example that is ready to be played, whether it be on stage, in the studio, or just jamming at home. It comes with its original Fender molded plastic case.
