This 2020 Fender Player Series Jazzmaster is a modern take on one of Fender’s most iconic offset designs. Rather than the traditional Jazzmaster electronics, this one is more straightforward with a pair of AlNiCo V Player Series humbuckers, a 3-way selector, master volume and tone controls, plus a push/pull coil split. The humbucker tones are thick and punchy, and when the coils are split, it gets much closer to the bright, snappy character Fender single coils are known for. The Modern “C” neck and 9.5” radius on the Pau Ferro fingerboard make this one especially comfortable to play, feeling equally at home whether you’re strumming chords, playing leads, or bending strings higher up the neck. It’s a great middle ground between vintage-inspired feel and modern playability. This example is in very clean condition and has only a few instances of wear to the finish. The frets are also in great shape. If you’ve always loved the look of a Jazzmaster but wanted something that’s a little more familiar, versatile, and gig-friendly, the Player Series is hard to beat. It includes a gig bag.
