Here’s a great example of the Bourgeois Generation OM in very good condition. The Generation Series is one of the best values in the Bourgeois lineup. While these are the most affordable USA-made Bourgeois guitars, they deliver the same level of craftsmanship and tone the brand is known for. The torrefied Sitka spruce top gives this guitar a warm, broken-in character that feels more mature than you’d expect from a 2019-made instrument. The mahogany back and sides of the guitar are indicative of the 18-Style, which can also be seen in the tortoise binding, pickguard, and dot fingerboard inlays. The finish touch of the Generation Series is its satin finish, which looks fantastic.
Another nice feature is that the Generation Series comes standard with an LR Baggs Lyric pickup. With its understated appointments, the focus here is on tone, playability, and value rather than flashy cosmetics. It’s clear this guitar has been well cared for and has plenty of life ahead of it. There are a few instances of playwear, such as some wear to the bottom, and some buckle rash on the back.
