1962 was a benchmark year for the Stratocaster. Players covet their slab board rosewood fingerboard, mint pickguard, and 7.25” radius. This reissue stays true to those ’62 specs. The finish is even done in a lovely Sherwood Green nitrocellulose lacquer, which was well taken care of, and is very clean with no checking. The pickups in this one are original (as is the rest of the guitar) and are true to a ‘60s Strat tone, with beefy lows, scooped mids, and articulate highs. The neck is a classic C-Shape and has a 1 5/8 nut width, making it extremely comfortable for just about any player. If you want a very clean ’62 style Strat with tons of mojo and character, this one might just be the one. It comes with a tweed hardshell case.
