Details
The early-2000s Highway One series from Fender has become something of cult-classic in recent years. It’s USA-made, with great parts and electronics, and no flashy aesthetics. This 2003 Telecaster in Blonde is a great example with just a small amount of playwear. Finished in a thin satin nitrocellulose lacquer, it has a lively, resonant feel. The Blonde finish shows off the grain nicely and sports a similar look to a mid-’50s Tele. The modern “C” neck is comfortable and familiar, and there are almost no fretwear. The Seymour Duncan STR-1 and STL-1 pickups deliver exactly what you want from a Tele; all the twang at the bridge, and a smooth, rounded neck pickup tone. This is a great USA-made Tele that punches well above its weight. It comes with Fender gig bag.
