Details
This is one of the cleanest examples of a post-war LG-1 we’ve seen. These ladder-braced guitars are by no means inferior in volume or tone to their X-braced cousin, the LG-2. Amazingly, this guitar has no finish checking whatsoever—a rarity for post-WWII Gibsons, where finish checking is nearly a given. The only cosmetic blemish of note is a small area on the back near the binding where some finish has been knocked off. It presents almost exactly as it would have in 1964, making this guitar like a sunburst time capsule. Adding to its originality, it comes with its original chipboard case, which is also in excellent condition.
