Details
An original ES-345 TD SV (orange label has "STEREO VARITONE" ink stamp). Original PAF humbucker pickups, bridge, stop tailpiece and pickguard, with original finish throughout (except for touchup on headstock). At one time Schaller tuners with offset screw mounts were installed, but those tuners were replaced with the repro gold single line Kluson style shown that match the originals. Original Varitone circuit with replaced pointer knob, and replaced switch tip. Original pots and knobs, note that outer Volume pot's shaft has been damaged and repaired but it works well. Bass side "wing" or "ear" of headstock has been neatly repaired, but face of headstock was not affected (touchup confined to back and side of headstock). We're guessing this headstock issue was related to the heavy Schaller tuners but of course we can't be sure. This 345 just had a killer refret by the Gryphon gang. With the exception of a few heavy dings to upper barrel of the neck, this ES-345's original finish has survived in remarkably good condition, it's an impressive example of the iconic early '60s Gibson semi hollowbody electric.
