Details
The 335-S is a bit of a rare bird. It is a solidbody electric that splits the difference between a Les Paul and an ES-335 in both shape and feel. The pickups and pots are not original, but they’re later ’80s Gibson parts: Bill Lawrence-designed HB-R and HB-L humbuckers with 4-conductor wiring. They’re a bit hotter than vintage PAF-style pickups and pair well with the original mini-toggle, which serves as a master coil-split for more single-coil type tones. The pots are also late ’80s Gibson, but everything else on the guitar is original. Condition-wise, the guitar is structurally sound and plays well. There is honest playwear throughout and some finish checking, but nothing that affects playability or function. It comes with a Gibson hardshell case.
