Details
We love 12-fret guitars here at Gryphon. The12-fret design puts the bridge closer to the middle of the lower bout, the most active part of the soundboard, which produces a guitar that responds well to a light touch but can stand up to heavier picking as well. If you don’t need access to the higher frets, you might find the blend of tone, volume and responsiveness makes the 12-fret 000 an almost perfect guitar.
This Collings 0002H 12-fret 000 was made in 1999 and it’s one of the best sounding examples of the style we have had in ages. The top is Sitka spruce and the back and sides are Indian rosewood. The binding is grained ivoroid. The scale length is 25.5” and the nut measures 1 13/16”. It’s in excellent, lightly played condition with just the slightest signs of play wear. Includes the original hardshell case, which is in equally clean condition.
