Details
This D-41 was made in 2025 by Martin in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. It's in excellent structural condition with just a hint of fret wear. Martin introduced the D-41 in 1969 as a slightly less ornamented version of their flagship D-45. Unlike the D-45, which boasts abalone purfling around the top, back and sides, the D-41 only has abalone around the top border. The fretboard is inlaid with abalone hexagons and the headstock boast the classic block letter inlay in abalone. The back and sides are Indian rosewood and the top is Sitka spruce with forward-shifted scalloped X bracing, a combination that gives this guitar a rich, mellow tone with lots of volume. The D-41 has a 1 3/4" nut width and a tortoiseshell-colored pickguard. The original hardshell case is in equally clean condition.
