Details
Molly is someone who is near and dear to our shop, and we have been fans of hers since day one. She bought her first Martin from us with money she saved from busking. When we found out Martin was doing a Molly Tuttle Signature D-18, we had to get one on order. This guitar is expertly equipped for a trend-setting bluegrass flatpicker and singer/songwriter. It takes inspiration from her personal 1943 D-18, which can be seen in rear-shifted scalloped X-brace, and 1 11/16th nut width. While it follows the tradition of other wartime Martins, this design is uniquely Molly’s and can be seen in the elegant moon inlays in the fingerboard, the silver Martin logo on the headstock, and her preferred finish choice: a lovely vintage sunburst. This D-18 is a punchy, full, and articulate dreadnought with plenty of volume and bass. It comes with a vintage style blue hardshell case.
