Taylor Guitars

Finely Crafted Instruments since 1970

Taylor Guitars has been crafting great sounding, easy playing, sharp looking instruments since 1974. Gryphon first started stocking Taylors in 1980? and we have watched the company grow from a tiny workshop into one of the world’s premier builders of acoustic guitars. Taylor builds their guitars with a meticulous attention to detail in a wide range of sizes and styles that fit every budget. Whether you’re looking for an instrument for home, travel, stage or studio, Taylor is sure to have the guitar you are looking for.

A Tradition of Innovation

Taylor has made a tradition of innovation from the very start. Their first guitars featured bolt-on necks, a then unusual building technique. Over the decades, they pushed the envelope of acoustic guitar design by refining the neck joint (The NT Neck), creating the world-class Expression pickup system and, most recently, developing two new bracing styles, V-Class and C-Class.

Versatility

Taylor offers nine different body styles, from the diminutive Baby up to the robust Grand Orchestra. They also build six and twelve string models, 12 or 14-fret variations and guitars with spruce, koa or mahogany tops. And no matter the price, every Taylor guitar has their justly famous playability. If you can’t find the guitar that is just right for you in their catalog, they have a Build to Order (BTO) that allows you to create the guitar of your dreams.
