Details
Here we have a sweet Collings C10 A from a few years ago that has been well cared for. This example is basically your standard C10, but with an Adirondack spruce top, which makes it pack a bit more of a punch than some of its Sitka-topped counterparts. It has the classic mahogany back and sides, which adds to the guitar’s clear and punchy sound. These guitars are known for being styled after some of the early sloped-shoulder 14-fret guitars that came out around the same time as the OM guitars.
Other than the top upgrade, this one is elegantly bound in ivoroid binding, and not only on the body. The ivoroid binding extends to the fingerboard and headstock. It also has a great-looking sunburst top to give it that undeniable ‘30s aesthetic. This guitar is structurally sound, crack-free, and has a great neck angle. Our techs expertly set it up, and it plays like a brand-new guitar. There are a few light pressure dings on the top, but they don’t break the finish, and there is incredibly light fretwear under just the B and High E strings going up to only the 3rd fret. The rest of the frets are very clean. It also comes with a passive K&K Pure Mini pickup and its original hardshell case.
