This is a very cool Custom Shop take on Martin’s elegant 000-42. It features a gorgeous set of Wild Grain Indian rosewood back and sides, matched with an Italian Alpine spruce top. Italian spruce is known for its light, airy response and rich overtone content. Compared to Sitka or Adirondack, it offers a more sensitive response, making it an ideal top wood for players with a lighter touch. This guitar shines in fingerstyle and dynamic rhythm settings, where each note rings with overtones and maintains exceptional clarity in the upper register. The low-profile neck and low action make it effortless to play, and the lightly braced top ensures it responds well to right-hand dynamics. The headstock overlay of matching Wild Grain rosewood really is the icing on the cake on this one. All the warmth, balance, and attention to detail you’d expect from Martin is apparent here and then some. Includes a Martin hardshell case.
