Details
We’ve been impressed with the new Gold Label models from Taylor and the way they add new dimensions to the Taylor sound while still retaining the classic Taylor vibe. This 717e Grand Pacific has a slightly deeper body than their standard Grand Pacific, a change that, when paired with the new fanned V-Class bracing variant, generates more oomph in the low end while remaining focused and clear at any volume. The back and sides are crafted from Indian rosewood, which produces a rich, complex tone. The top is made specially roasted Sitka spruce, which adds the subtlety and nuance you get from a vintage guitar. Our repair staff was particularly impressed with the new Action Controlled Neck, which makes action adjustments a snap. This model includes LR Baggs Element VTC electronics for warm, balanced amplified sound and ships with a deluxe hardshell case featuring a British Cocoa exterior.
