Details
This D-28 from a quarter-century ago is a reminder of C. F. Martin's consistency in building one of the most popular, and widely copied, steel-string acoustic guitars on the planet: the rosewood Dreadnought. This is especially reassuring since Martin invented the model about 75 years before that!
There are a few signs that this D-28 has been played, such as some pick or fingerwear to the pickguard, a small ding to the finish on the face, and light finish squiggles on the back from buttons or jean rivets, but it's clearly been coasting and is ready for more steady exercise. There's almost zero fret wear, everything is original, including the Martin hardshell case.
And oh, we forgot to mention that it's very playable (the string action is pretty much the standard for a new D-28), and it has the smooth, rich tone and sustain that has made the model so popular through the years.
