Details
Martin introduced the D-41 in 1969 as a slightly less ornamented version of their flagship D-45. Unlike the D-45, which boasts abalone purfling around the top, back and sides, the D-41 only has abalone around the top border. This particular D-41 was made in 2023 and it’s in almost unplayed condition. Why did the previous owner let go of it? He discovered that he really wanted the extra bling and traded it in for a D-45. The back and sides are Indian rosewood and the top is Sitka spruce with scalloped braces, a combination that gives this guitar a rich, mellow tone. The headstock has the classic vertical C.F. Martin inlayed in abalone and it’s fitted with gold open-geared Grover tuning machines. Include the original hardshell case that is in equally clean condition.
